READING: ACTS 2:25-41
TOPIC: GROWTH THROUGH FELLOWSHIP
About 3000 people gave their lives to Christ when Peter preached the Good News about Christ on the Day of Pentecost in Jerusalem. These new Christians were united with the other believers, taught by the apostles, and included in the prayer meetings and fellowship. New believers in Christ need to be in groups where they can learn God’s Word, pray and mature in the faith. Those who come to Christ newly should seek out other believers for fellowship, prayer, and teaching. That is the way for them to grow.
What are you doing in your little corner to encourage people to come to Christ or to ensure that new convert do not get discouraged? Are you holding tight to what God has given to you instead of using it to build up His Church? Many youths have left for “greener pastures” due to lack of care and concern. Ask yourself what you can do to stem this tide? May the Holy Spirit today enable you contribute to keep the Church alive in living faith, fellowship and growth.
Prayer: Oh Lord, help me to contribute to the growth and development of your Church through unity prayer, faith and fellowship. Amen.
