WARRI — The Nigerian Police say the employees of Nestoil Company who were abducted by gunmen in Port Harcourt on September 2, 2016 have been released.
Police Deputy Superintendent Nnamdi Omoni revealed that those released include 14 oil workers and their driver. These have been in the Kidnappers den for more than two weeks. He said they were rescued in batches starting from yesterday Saturday through to this evening.
The kidnappers had demanded a ransom of 100 million naira, but would not say if ransoms were paid to secure the release of these workers.
