For Geoffrey, getting admission into Federal Government Academy, Suleja, Niger state in the 1999/2000 session turned out to be more than just an avenue for academic education for the boy. It would be the platform to meet his eventual wife, Damilola who got into the same school a year later. Tribe and state differences couldn’t hold them apart (Esewe Geoffrey Osemudiamen is from Edo and lives there, while Olatunji-Daniel Damilola Deronke is from Lagos and lives in Oyo) and many years later, a friendship and “crushship ” developed into full blown love. The couple who are today both medical doctors, started out as fellowship mates and choral society colleagues. Thanks to GSM, emails, then BBM, Whatsapp, NYSC, bus rides, flights, and plenty prayers and faith, they got married on the 18th of November, 2017, and my, was it a fairytale wedding! Members of FEDACAD poured in and celebrated with the couple as they demonstrated the power of love with this epic intertribal wedding. CGMi Church Unusual, Benin was also well represented (the groom is the present music director of this church) Honourable guests included Rev Laurie Idahosa, the Senior Pastor of CGMi Church Unusual, Honourable Judges of Oyo State High Court and Magistrates, SANs and ministers of the gospel. The groom sang a lovely tune for his bride and she replied by giving an amazing dance with her bridal train!! #theDGday was an amazing fairytale and we wish Dr Osemudiamen Geoffrey Esewe (@seme35) and Dr. Damilola Deronke Olatunji Esewe (@msodaniel1) a happy married li.
